Gif creator to drill grammar

I discovered that you can make grammar drills interesting by creating gif. animations. There are different applications for iOS and Android for GIFs, so you can choose any.

When we drilled Past Simple/Progressive tense I gave my students a task to create a live GIF for compound sentences with Past Simple/Progressive. It was pair work and at the end they presented their GIFs, so the others classmates could guess what is the sentence.

There is one example:

I was driving home when I saw my friend.
